Welcome!
I offer three types of services: one for students in formal schooling, another for homeschools and homeschooling coops, and a third for standardized test preparation.
For an initial, free consultation and more information, including more specifics about prices, please contact me directly at 214-395-3983 (a text message or phone call will be fine) or at meyersv1@yahoo.com. I’ll get back to you within a day or two.
Formal Schooling
I offer private tutoring for a wide variety of subjects, including mathematics and formal logic as well as philosophy, and at both the primary (K-12) and college levels.
For mathematics, the subjects I tutor include middle school mathematics, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, statistics, physics, pre-calculus, calculus, and, at the college level, calculus, statistics, differential equations, real analysis, discrete mathematics, and abstract algebra.
If you need tutoring for a subject I do not mention above, reach out and we’ll see if I can help out.
For clients needing only a few hours of tutoring every now and then, I offer services at $49/hour.
For those who want more consistent, long-term tutoring, I offer monthly packages that include services beyond one on one sessions (including on demand help) and where the effective hourly rate for sessions is lower than my regular hourly rate.
Homeschooling and Homeschooling Coops
For students and children in homeschooling I offer both long-term private tutoring and day classes, the latter especially for homeschooling coops.

My private tutoring is tailored for each student depending on their interests, needs, and goals. I will work differently with an artist, say, than I will with a student who has a serious interest in mathematics proper.
I offer monthly packages that often include more than the one on one tutoring sessions and where the effective hourly rate (usually around $40/hour) for these sessions is lower than my regular hourly rate ($49/hour).

The day classes are centered around different themes, such as symmetry or the Golden Ratio, and usually involve games, stories, and activities such as solving mysteries involving mathematical clues. Like my tutoring, these are tailored to the needs and interests of the coop.

Standardized Test Preparation
I have a lot of experience helping students improve their scores and address their anxieties when taking standardized tests used as admission requirements for many learning institutions. These include the ACT and SAT as well as the ISEE, TSI, and LSAT.
I structure test preparation as I do long-term private tutoring by offering both isolated sessions at $49/hour for those who only need a few hours of tutoring as well as monthly packages that include options beyond the one on one tutoring sessions (including on demand help) and where the effective hourly rate for sessions is lower than my regular hourly rate.

What is the cost of your services?
Private tutoring for advanced subjects and hourly coaching over extended periods of time can run into the thousands of dollars per month. With my monthly packages, the regular price is well under one thousand, usually between $200 to $500 a month, depending on how many hours of one on one tutoring is included.

I also offer a risk-free guarantee: if after one month, it’s not working as you like, something has gone wrong, or you’re just not feeling right, you can let me know and I’ll provide a full refund.
